Retronauts

A Retronaut is part pioneer, part virtual archaeologist able to span time and place. By detaching from the confines of the real they are able to create mysterious and uncanny new worlds.

Retronauts is an exhibition of new works on paper by Leah Bullen and Sara Roberts. Roberts’ and Bullen’s work interrogates the relationship between painting and photography. For both artists photography acts as a kind of stepping stone, a way to move between the real world and the imaginary world created in their work.
