Robert, Sam and Bobby Gordon (three generations of potters) and their team at Robert Gordon Australia have created a range of pieces for Hotel Hotel, including the signature cup and saucer in the rooms, and a full dinner set for the hotel apartments.
Each piece is handmade – some on a wheel, some using a custom-molding and hand-finishing process – in their studio in Melbourne.
There is almost nothing rarer in Australian industry than intergenerational success amongst artisanal product manufacturers. Founded in 1945, Rob Gordon Australia is just such a rare beast.
