Fire and Rain
Sally Blake’s solo exhibition at ANCA Gallery, Fire and Rain, will feature works on paper and canvas that explore the material possibilities of these elements and their capacity to shape the natural environment.
At ANCA Gallery Blake is exhibiting three bodies of work, the Rain Drawings, the Fire Drawings and a third group which examines these elements in and out of balance. Blake also stitches patterns of renewal in works where rain and fire are balanced. Other works explore the consequences of ongoing severe weather events and land degradation as we live though the effects of climate change.
Fire and Rain is a not to be missed exhibition that explores the destructive power of these two environmental elements but it also celebrates their sublime beauty
