The Arrangement is a group of images made with Ruth Van Beek’s collection of mostly instructional books on flower arranging, dating from fifties to the the seventies. This second book of her work published by RVB BOOKS, includes colourful collages made of still lives of flower arrangements along side the functional photography of a manual. Ruth Van Beek is specialty interested in the translation of the strict rules and symbols of Japanese Ikebana into instructional books for Dutch house wifes.
