Cat People is a new magazine produced in Melbourne dedicated entirely to cats and their creative owners. Editors Jessica Lowe and Gavin Green have compiled a thoughtful publication featuring in-depth interviews tracing both the creative processes and cat affections of a handful of leading international artists and designers. Published annually, the bilingual (English and Japanese) magazine contains countless charming images of cats and their domestic environments. The first issue features interviews with fashion designers Vivetta Ponti, Suzanne Clements and Ignacio Ribeiro; illustrator Matt Maitland; and artist Tanya Schultz. It includes a photo essay by renowned Japanese photographer Takashi Homma and a contribution from our very own Dan Rule.
